I was wondering, does the Corksport exhuast for the FC3S (that comes out the drivers side) kink to the left?...in other words does the tip of it kink? I was planing on buying it...but i want the JDM kink https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

rx7man629 06-29-2005 11:22 PM

yes i do have that exhaust and it does come out at an angle. I love that exhaust, awesome quality, i can get a pic up if you want

It's not that kinked, i've seen some 3rd gens that really get that goin on.

13b_junkie 06-30-2005 11:29 PM

the only thing i see going to the left is the direction the muffler points. the tip looks straight in those pics. maybe they compared it to the stock pointing straight back with theirs just off to the left a lil bit (?)

It's really cheap, some say it's loud but i don't think it is, i want a rb header but not sure if it would be too loud with that or not.

teknics 07-01-2005 05:06 PM

why would you *want* a kink in your exhaust system? go through all the trouble of getting less resistance in your exhaust only to put a kink back in it?

i never have and never will understand that, ive seen some turn on almost 90 degree angles on some of the civic hatches around here.

That cat back is ear bleeding loud with a header and just straight pipe or rb presilencer... just thought I'd warn ya

I wish there was a way to get a new header and high flow cat without making the car louder, i want to try and get a little more power.

If you add enough silencers or I should say a big enough one after the cat, you can. Or you can just keep the stock mani and use RB's cat eliminator pipe with presilencer or a cat setup. This is much quieter and the power difference with a header is minimal... unless you're talking about an SDJ header or something like that which you'd probably want to use with some sort of porting anyway.

90 degrees is way to much...thats why those are on civics https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png ...i just want a "JDM kink" at the tip like my friends Blitz nur spec exhuast on his S13 https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif the thing is hot...plus it looks a lot better then a striaght pipe coming out the back https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

The RB cans have a slight *kink* in the exhaust tip, maybe 10 to 15 degrees

The Corksport one doesn't kink anywhere near 90 degrees, they have the single set-up hanging from the ceiling, I bumped my head on it in thier showroom more than enough times to remember what it looks like.
