Well, I broke the threads that connect my thermostat neck piece, and replaced the whole unit last night with one off a NA because it was just laying around, I didnt notice the NA one didnt have a turbo water return fitting. I am thinking about just T-ing into the heater line when it comes off the bottom of the radiator and jumping in there, but I figure the idea of the water return hitting the pump is for the water to go up to the radiator because its hot water, I dont think this will affect temps much, but I wanted to see what you guys thought.
So its a S4 NA water pump assembly on a S4 Turbo II...where to dump the turbo water return is the question. |
There is a Cast "boss" on the NA Housing, Drill and tap this with a 3/8" NPT (?) tep and tread in a barbed fitting, VIOLA~ instant water return
|
A cast boss? I dunno what that means. Or where that would be? or what a boss is. But I will look on it..
Thanks |
Also, is it possible to just block off the coolant line on the back of the engine and then route the turbo water in thru the back of the water neck.

I forsee we are going to have to do a lot of work.......

You can return coolant back through the heater core return line.
Kind of a hack, but, "Get R dun" for now. |
i'll have to post a pic for you.

Damn you mike, change your avatar picture lol

Well I have it T'd into the line that goes from the back of my engine to the coolant filler neck back area, then low and behold the son of a bitch started leaking under the alternator........son of a bitch car...
