what are your average coolant temps in the turbo cars and preferably at the water pump housing but in the stock location would be fine too thanks abunch

My stock gauge sits about halfway and it read about 87-89 degrees Celsius on the haltech which is right around 180 degrees F, perfect operating temp.
|
well thanks for the response and you haltech is reading the factory temp sensor in the water pump housing correct??
|
in the factory temp position (right after thermostat and with a greddy meter) i read 81C on city cruising and saw 85C boosting with fmic, a/c and koyo. i think 190F - 200F is normal? 90C = 194F

I have a mechanical gauge tapped into my waterpump on my 90 NA.
At 160 degrees my factory gauge is about a needl shy of half gauge (a touch low) 170 - 200 stays pretty much right in the middle 210 is about 3/4 up the stock gauge. 220 - 225 is just touching red zone. The factory gauge obviously does not read linear, I was suprised at the ranges when I first installed the mechanical gauge. Maybe a little off topic but might be usefull to someone. |

My factory gauge never get more than 1/4 the way up, even on the highway in 100 degree heat.
