well.. my 86 is fixed.. except for one problem...it overheats and that little freaking buzzer comes on for add coolant. Well I found out that I had a hole in something....I just don't know what.

So my question is...what coolant line runs underneath the intake manifold next to the area where the trans and the engine go together? cause that one is blowing coolant and air out all over the place.

It's next to some metal lines (fuel I think).

well..that's just about it. Just glad I found it...even though I don't know what it is.

Any help will be appreciated...thanks.

Maybe the heater Hose..? Mine busted before i bought the car so the Dealer replaced it.. I believe it rubs on somthing, so it is supposed to have a boot or cover of some sort..

There are two that you might be talking about. There is the one that 75REPU said that runs from the firewall to the engine just below the oil filler. This hose is known for wearing out fast. The other one is a small hose that runs from the the throttle body down to the engines rear housing underneath the TB. Its relatively cheap to replace either hose, check out mazdatrix.com, you can order them there.

It may be the coolant line that comes up from the rear housing just below where the throttle body meets the upper intake manifold. Check the heater hose line first because its easier to change. This hose is right under the oil filter and goes up into the firewall. Its the biggest hose in that area. If that one is good, its going to be the coolant line under the throttle body.

I replaced it on my old N/A a while back so I dont remember exactly how it goes. I bought the hose from the dealer along with a upper intake manifold gasket just incase the old one falls apart when removing the manifold.

I was going to explain how to replace it but I forgot how since I havent had an N/A for a while :(

That would be my guess. it's a PITA to put on and off if you use the Mazda OEM part. I just bought some heater hose and used that (longer lenght) and later got rid of that too when i did the TB mod.

I was going to suggest doing the throttle body mod but I didnt want to confuse him/her. LannyRX7, look up the throttle body mod. This mod gets rid of alot of "useless" things on the throttle body. It also gets rid of the coolant lines that go into the throttle body. You can cap off the coolant line that comes out of the rear housing & water pump or re-route them for easier access after you're done.
