Okay I have replaced the gasket twice, bought a flat cap from MazdaTrix and still a tiny bit of leaking under the cap on my Therostat neck.
Does anyone have a spare for sale? One without the flat cap? (I think 89-91 Turbo Style). My Zuki is pulling pretty hard in all the gears. I've run it about an hour each weekend. With the 5:13 rear gears 1st gear goes by really quick. I think I should locate some 4:60 rear gears. I bought a G-Tech but haven't made a run with it in my Zuki yet. My only complaint of the product is it would have been nice to have a remote switch for setting it up. Even a remote control. It's a pain to take it on and off the windshield to setup the vehicle's weight. I did make a run with it in my daily driver and it seemed pretty accurate. It said I had 116HP, Which I am suppose to have 140HP at the flywheel. Figuring the 20% driveline loses that sounds about right. Anyone have the specs from the New Mazda motor?... I'm sure I am getting off topic here, but the Renesis is suppose to have NO OVERLAP. HOW DID THEY DO THAT? That and 3 seperate dynamic chambers give it all that power without the aid of a Turbo. |
I have an extra 89-91 thermostat housing, but I don't think it will bolt right onto your water pump housing.

I've got 2 bolts that hold mine on. The Thermostat sits under it.
As for the Renesis I think I answered my own question. I had no idea.... Side Exhaust Ports. I wonder when these performance housing will be avalible for the 13B world. http://a9.g.akamai.net/7/9/5509/9796...s/0802_9hi.jpg |

The 89-91 neck uses 3 bolts, and the thermostat has a rubber gasket around its edges. If that neck is causing you so much trouble you could try just getting the hole welded shut. Ya that's an idea. I think it would look like SH*& but I guess better than it leaking. 3 bolts do seem better than 2. |
