Hey, I have a 87 Turbo II.

I'm not sure exactly what the cooling problem is. What happens is, if

you do a lot of heavy acceleration, the engine coolant will start to

push into the cooling bottle and then the engine will get hot. If you

drive it easy, then there's no problem. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif

If anyone knows what the problem is and how to fix it plz respond to this, and lemme know what's up. (and also how hard it is to fix, if fixable)

Thx alot,

Nick

i'd assume bad water pump. generally if the engine is starting to overheat and make the coolant boil. you have a coolant issue, radiator, thermostat, clutch fan, coolant seals(you better hope this isn't the problem....)

I had a new clutch put in, water pump (that was my first guess) and thermostat put in not too long ago... :stickpoke:

ITs normal for more coolant to be in the bottle when the engine gets hot, heavier driving will get the engine hot obviously, if its not overheating, dont worry about it. Just be sure the radiator is filled and the bottle isnt overfilled past the HOT mark when the car is warmed up

get an aftermarket water temp gauge and install it. the stock unit REALLY SUCKS and water temp is a critical function in a rotary motor.
