Heyo,

OEM cat has a little flange to meet up with the split air pipe. This Hi-Flow I got doesn't have that flange. So I was thinking cut off the little flange on the split air and use a little peice of hose to connect them.

The question is will the hose melt? What if it is like silicine heater hose? thanks.

yes a rubber hose will melt very quickly. your options are to buy that flange you need from mazdatrix or anyother place that sells it or cut the flange from the car and get a section of metal pipe and slide it over the cat and car pipes and tac weld or clamp it. many auto parts stores sell small dia. flex pipe for that very reason.

i just get rid of the split air pipe completely

then how do you get air into the cat? lol

where its supposed to go: the exhaust ports. the split air pipe on a stock car does almost nothing, in fact on some of em theres a restrictor, a 3-4mm hole in the split air system
