Default Intake Swap

Can Anyone tell me if a intake set up from a 93 13B N/A fuel injected motor will fit on a 86 13B N/A fuel injected motor. If not, is there a stock manifold from a different year that is better than the 86 intake for better flow, and did the throtle body MM change any were in the series.

93 would be an fd intake from a twin turbo motor. You can swap any series you want with the right amount of work but its all pointless if you have nothing to retune the motor. drive ability will suffer from any on the stock ecu

This is a race car, I race it in scca road course only, and I do have a haltec ecu, just woundering if there is any advantage to newer intakes

You cannot use a 93 manifold just because its a 4 port engine and your 1986 engine is a 6 port engine. All you can do is install a 1989-1991 intake, it will fit and all you have to do is epoxi all the EGR holes in the manifold and engine.

The s5 intake is said to be best for no turbo. It's a tuned intake for higher volume metric efficiency. This with intake sleeves and a good tune will make 195 whp. I would like to try it with rx8 rotors

I still think jay tech makes the best intake turbo and non turbo. But if I was never going to go turbo I would chose the Mazda s5 tuned intake.
