Well, we've ordered some materials to build a composit intake manifold for an LT1 camaro as a favor for a friend, but I'm a little interested to see how it would work with a rotary...once we get the v8 one completed, we've talked about making a higher flowing intake for the 13B similar to jaytech design possibly, but composite and not metal. We have to test the heat transfer first...would anybody be interested in something like this?

I'd be interested in seeing one. No money tho. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Well in the future, I plan on moving to the fd intake mani this summer, but if you're design can offer better dyno results, then I would get yours.

I'd love to see a higher flowing intake researched! If I had all the proper tools I would be working on a design of my own.

im interestedd............ for fd though.. not fc

I've helped build a composite intake before. We had a big problem with it flexing under high manifold vacuum, which led to cracking, and leaks. But this was for a Formula SAE vehicle, so it had to run a restrictor, adding to the problem. On a street car I would guess heat to be the biggest problem. What is the melting point for cured resin?

Maybe leave the LIM stock to soak up the heat right next to the engine and make the rest composite.

Good luck

Yea, we were just going to design a UIM first and check it out. This is all talk right now as we are working on the LT1 manifold. If it holds to heat and doesn't flex badly, we'll probably look into the 13B one. Oh, and FD guys..so far out of everything we've looked into making for an FC, there are more FD guys that want one...dont be greedy, lol...j/k...we'll probably offer them for both setups...

I thought no one has been able to improve upon the LT1 stock manifold?
