Ok, now I hate bad mouthing companies, BUT I was installing an HKS downpipe and catback on a buddy's '91 supra turbo. And let me say this, I am in no way happy w/ HKS. They did not include all the hardware to the exhaust, AND the exhaust was painted!! My friend spent over $1300 that was painted. That exhaust should have been stainless steel and beautiful! I don't know who in this forum has used HKS, maybe you had better luck. All I know is that the Racing beat DP that is under $200 was a LOT nicer quality then the HKS for over $200. The flanges were even welded funny!! Ok, thought I'd vent..I was just suprised to see a premier japanese company sell such a lame excuse for "quality" exhaust.

On a lighter note, the exhaust does fit well, and it was NOT loud at all either...which is just what my friend wanted. This week I'm installing his EVC boost controller..maybe HKS makes better electronics :(

i installed a HKS dp on my T2 i think it's ceramic coated ??? oh well fit was good, the T2 downpipe was pretty inexpensive. i was pretty satisfied:)

My '87 non-turbo has a great sounding 7-year old dual stainless HKS free-flow system mated to the RB off-road racing manifold. While it took some doing to mate them together, it's been trouble-free and is still good as new. For my money, HKS puts out a great product. :smilewinkgrin:

The DP was not ceramic coating...I know that...if you've ever got a DP from Bonez @ Rx7.com...thats the same style of paint I'm talking about. Oh well, he's happy w/ it so I guess it's ok, I think I'll stick to GReddy/TRUST; APEXi; and TurboXS.
