I was at auto zone and in the rice boy section they had a chrome intake pipe for a civic. It looks like it might fit my 89 but im not sure. Does anyone know? I didnt have my 7 there at the time so i couldnt check it out.

i'm using one of those on my TII for the turbo inlet duct. i'm not sure if it will work for you though...

Shane.Trammell 07-19-2002 09:40 AM

vosko 07-19-2002 09:42 AM

actually i think you need one with more of a bend

Shane.Trammell 07-19-2002 09:43 AM

maybe i could bend it out a little

Shane.Trammell 07-19-2002 09:43 AM

i know some guys at a place called stainless stell fabricators they can do anything

vosko 07-19-2002 09:47 AM

so have one fabbed that would work alot better

Shane.Trammell 07-19-2002 09:49 AM

why didnt i think of that.

vosko 07-19-2002 09:49 AM

i dunno https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif

Shane.Trammell 07-19-2002 09:49 AM

actually it would prob cost alot more to make one than just getting one fixed., but ill have to check it out, and if they can i will let everyone know about the details

vosko will it work for my car too? and what would it do? 88 TII (stock Turbo)

Turbo II 07-19-2002 02:52 PM

got any pics of it too?

vosko 07-19-2002 06:20 PM

you can make one from your car. it replaces the rubber (probably hard like plastic now) duct going to the front of the turbo. generally you gain 1-2 psi of boost. you can make it using home depot racing supplies. i'll post a picture of mine when i get home. i'm at work and can't access my website

BNR Supercars sells a TID and a "cold air pipe" for 2nd gens. I think I might get it for the AE. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

vosko 07-20-2002 09:32 AM

Me too. I'm thinking of e mailing them for pics of the TID.

Rotaryman88 07-20-2002 11:48 AM

Yea, post some pics if you get it. It's a product that we are planning to offer at 1320engineering.com and I'd be interested to see the competitions quality...
