Well this is my first time changing a clutch. I got the tranny out and now trying to get the pressure plate off. I can't get it to to stop rotating. I tried to jam it up but that did not work. Any tips on how to get it off???? I know it may sound stupid asking this but i have NEVER taken a tranny out or changed a clutch. NEED HELP FAST!!

the best way is to use the mazda tool to hold the flywheel still the next best way is to use an impct gun i am assuming that you dont have either. i'll give away one mecanichs trick i have from over the years. if you have a hammer and a cheap ratchet you dont care about wack the end of the ratchet with the hammer it will work just like a impact you knowwhat im sayin

got it out. I jammed up the bastard with a screw driver and some muscle. I installed the new clutch but can't get the tranny in. tried to bench press it in a few times but could not get the angle. I will try more tomorrow.

hey i thought i would try to help you for tommorow. this is my advice

1- put the ******* trans on a floor jack. how are you going to put the bolts back in the belhousing holding the trans up

2- did you use a alinment tool when you instaled the new clutch if you dont have one take the seat post off your bike it sould be the right size

3- make sure you grease the input saft on the trans a lightly no a huge dob of **** just a very thin coat

4- make sure you put throw out bearing in right and it has full range of motion

5- put it back in and make sure it all works right doing **** twice sucks and the third time you will more than likley wreck somthing else taking sort cuts
