Finally it went. 119xxx on the car on the original clutch so i think that was a good long life out of it. I just ordered an Excedy (sp) stage 1 that i got cheap for a replacement. Anyone have tips or a writeup on install? While i am under there i will be replacing the stock mufflers with a cat back (borla) that i got off of E-bay for a good price also so i can't wait to get that exhaust opened up! Help is welcomed!

Thanks, Jon

remember to drain the tranny before popping the driveshaft out.

i forgot too and nasty gear oil went everywhere.

its very straight forward. you basically just pull off the starter, exhuast and the trans...

you want to look at the transmission mount, the spring in the shifter that centers the lever (trans has to come out to change it), rear main seal, driveshaft, etc. if its apart, now is the time to change it

I stripped the cat bolt because the nut would not come off. Damn 17 mil did not want to come off so i took a breaker bar to it. That worked but the threads came off with it too. I drained it and got the exhaust off. I am in no hurry since the clutch has not come in yet. It is in the middle of no where when i checked UPS shipping. Thanks for the words of advice.

you don't have to drain the trans fluid. Just cover the rear opening with a plastic bag and rubber band. That way all you have to do is add a little more fluid at the end. Good luck putting the transmission back in when your done. Tilting the motor down some is recommended to help ease the reassemble process.

You might also want to replace your throwout bearing and pilot bearing while you're there.

yeah the clutch is a "kit" and comes with both. I want to drain out the tranny anyway because i want to check the fluid and if any **** would come out.
