hey guys i have a 87 n/a and was looking for a new clutch and started looking at the centerforce double friction clutch which i proced for around $300 then som1 told me to also look at the ACT clutches which is around $290 and was wondering which clutch u use or which u think is better
|
if u get centre force don't get the dual friction.
ACT is good Exedy is good Racing beat is good |
i havent had any problems with the clutch/flywheel/pressure plate from racingbeat.com
|
why not double friction?
|
The idea/innovation is correct, but most people find it will slip after very low kms... why? I think it has to do with intalation problems.
You can always get double friction from a Exedy Twin plate race clutch or the HKS OS Giken Twin plate clutch. They will be worth more then your car... well depends on how mint your car is. |
Yea, defineatly don't get dual friction, my friend has one and it sucks.. i would go Clutchmasters if i was you. i have one on my 86 and it real nice, and holds up good.

i like act

my mechanic put a 91 pressure plate and a 93 clutch when my engine was rebuilt. i dont know how, but he did. it feel great, sticks hard, never slips. on one problem: it's real stiff and takes some work for smooth "auto-feel" shifts. even so, i cant compain, my whole drivetrain has problems
|
how the hell can u put a 93 clutch in?
FD uses pull style clutch FC uses push style |
I need a new clutch now too. Where can you find a Clutch Masters besides the stock replacement? I'm trying to find the best prices on each brand before I leap.
