Ok i've started to notice that when i'm backing out of or pulling into parking spots (moving at slow speeds) that the steering clicks. Well I'm assuming its the steering because it only happens when i move the wheel and the clicking comes from somewhere in the engine compartment. I checked the PS fluid and its fine - other than that I'm clueless as to where to start lookin to repair. The PS still works, and hasnt given out, but maybe the steering box is stripped? I'm not too sure where to start looking so any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Bump.

I've noticed that this only happens when its cold - maybe the PS fluid is too thick? Anyone has any suggestions, they're more than welcome.

Thanks

So i'm guessing its just something I should get used to eh?

I have no clue, I've been meaning to look for it and find the problem but i always forget since i rarely hear the sound. Never really that cold in florida and doesnt last long enough so it just slips my mind.

Im not sure what it is but its not a power steering issue. my TII has manual steering from the factory and I get the same thing. Only happens to me in reverse but happens every morning when I back out of my parking spot. Never while turning the wheel, just while in motion with the wheel cranked.

If anyone knows whats going on I would love to know also https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/happy.png

Same problem here, with 88 vert. But I live in AZ and it happens when its in the 60's and 70's outside. Been trying to pinpoint it for a while. Ill let you guys know if I find anything.

Hey i might know what the problem is. I had the same problems as your talking about. You might want to check one or two things. It could be your rack and pinion or it could your ball joints going out. My friends @ Rotary Performance said that the whole power steering situation is/was poorly designed and the ball joints go out from time to time. I fixed those two in the past months and i havent heard it yet. But your problem is between the wheels.
