I think that I will have to save up, and go all out. I mean, I've already got a Jspec motor, tranny, and a bunch of other authentic Jspec goodies...I guess I'll need the MazdaSpeed Jspec wheels.

http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/lineup/mazda/01s.htm

Thats the link. They are MazdaSpeeds MS-01S, I'll get them in the 17" form...they cost about $443 for the front(each) and $458 for the rear(each). That way, when I get the RE amemiya front end, I'll have a very "J" looking 7 https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

I can dream can't I? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Rob x-7 02-05-2002 07:38 PM

They dont look worth the money at all, im sure you can find something 99% similar for under $250 a wheel. Perhaps something from ROH, or even Moda. Borbret has a very similar wheel, and with the money you save you can put it towards something else. Just my opinion anyhow.

Rotaryman88 02-05-2002 08:12 PM

I have Borbet's right now...and they are worth it for the fact that they are Jspec straight from MazdaSpeed, lol...I'm trying to build a completely Jspec car...the price isn't that bad compared to the $500+ I was gonna shell out for the Advans, lol....

1Revvin7 02-05-2002 08:51 PM

they are almost identical to the 5ZR's.... which are 250 each and look way better, which im gettin 18's

ILUVMY88CABRIO 02-05-2002 09:33 PM

I want the Neeper Daggs in 18"

UniqueTII 02-05-2002 11:00 PM

I like those a lot, but I couldn't see paying that much for them.

Rob x-7 02-06-2002 04:08 PM

I like my RPOMs, very reasonable for the money, im going to have the 2" lip polieshed before the summer. I think im going to put the new Enkei 5 Plus on my ES300 this summer.

UniqueTII 02-08-2002 10:42 PM

I like Enkie, but the clearcoat is chipping off of mine...after only 4 years.

Those rears won't work. I'm not too sure of the exact offsets needed for 3rd gen;s, but it's in the low to mid +40's.

I used to have 15's.

UniqueTII 02-10-2002 10:03 AM

I have 14s...on the Subaru. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png I can't really complain about the rims on my car...they were on it when I bought it.

Rob x-7 02-11-2002 12:17 PM

I had gotten prices off the internet, after calling 5-7 shops locally, no one was even close to the prices I had gotten from the internet, with the cheapest being a place called Whalen Tire. So I called a local store, whom I had never dealt with before, and asked them to match the prices, which they did ( a difference of over $500 ), and gave me better tires to boot. I would rather go to a local place and pick them up, then wait for them to come and god forbid be damaged. Plus its always good to get in on the local shops good side, they even threw in a set of locks. I simply asked them as if it was a question: "how come I can mail order them and they are so much cheaper, cant you guys do better? I would rather buy them locally if I could get a better price "

90N/A Rex 02-11-2002 02:12 PM

When I went rim shopping I tried going local and did the same thing. Kinda got the runaround.

Try this place too. Decent prices..

Super Buy Tires

Ended up buying these

Tirerack.com is pretty cool too. I've heard good things about them.

90N/A Rex 02-11-2002 11:36 PM

I liked that site cause you can see the rims on the car. The only thing is you are limited to the rims they have. And they don't have a great selection compared to other places. It is fun to play around and see different rims on your car.

ILUVMY88CABRIO 02-12-2002 12:09 AM

Yeah, I can go to Les Schwab and use their machine there to see what rims look good on my car. Thats how I kill time waiting for them to finish working on my car.

riceboyh8ter 02-16-2002 11:50 AM
