I just made one recently but I put it up where the top vents were, above the heat controls. I think it was Cabrio that gave me the idea to put it there. Anyways it was pretty easy, the face is metal and I used the existing frame so you can just pop it in and out. Pretty cheap and kind of fun to make. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

w/e why do u need so many gauges https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif

I thought about getting something like that for the FD, but I think I'm going to be getting just one gauge (boost) so I'll probably get the steering column type gauge pod.

Three isnt actually a lot. I plan on running oil pressure/temp, coolant temp, boost(already installed), and EGT. You'll find a lot of people with modified rotaries running these.

One day when I finally get a nice aftermarket turbo and fully divided manifold, I might run twin EGT gauges. One for each runner! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Yes I made one that goes where the vents were above the logicon. My SAFC is below my CD player. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif

Damn thats easy to make.Whats the point of trying to sell it if everyone can build them as it is.

I am just becoming mechanically inclined, automotive speaking. What is the best way, if you make the gauge pod like the one on e-bay (meaning location), to attach it to the car? I wan't a nice finished look (no screws showing etc...)

The area of the stereo in the center console of my car is open because some a'holes ripped out my stereo about 2 years ago. I am just now getting around to rebuilding the whole car. The console frame is there and it is new but there is just a big open hole where the stereo used to be.

Rob x 7 you also need to buy a drill bit and arbor wich is $20 you need a saw to cut it and clamps and all that stuff too.

these are things anyone handy enough to do the job should already have.. If you have made stuff for your own car before then you should have bought some of these things over time..

Just drill some holes for the mounting screws, then trace the holes for the guages and cut them out with a jig saw or if you have a bit for cutting a hole that big, it would be easier.. and more accurate..

i think what you are paying for is the time to do it not the part its self.
