OKIERX-7 08-20-2002 12:03 PM

Damn, thats pathetic. The seller is in my neck of the woods. Just goes to show what I have to deal with around here.

vosko 08-20-2002 12:05 PM

atleast he only butchered a base model...

Turbo II 08-20-2002 12:12 PM

i think im gonna cry. y would somebody do that?

13BAce 08-20-2002 12:20 PM

It actually wouldn't look too bad if he had some better rims and finisahed the body work and painting. You'd be surprised at what that can do for a car.

Turbo II 08-20-2002 12:54 PM

yeah, but y try and sell the car in that kind of painting condition? the body kit is clean and there are no dents. but no one is gonna spend that much on a car and then a paint job. at least i wouldnt and that spoiler is another thing

Yeah, maybe he just needs money. Who knows.

Rotaryman88 08-20-2002 01:51 PM

Wonder what kind of racing he was planning on doing? Most sanctioning race bodies wont allow body kits for autox and some forms of club racing, lol. Not to mention, putting a V8 in it would have made it hard to class...I think the guy is full of it, lol...he had no plans of racing unless it was dragracing...

id never buy that car knowing that the plan was to drop a v8 in it. i would have picked it up just for the front bumper and the side skirts.

I don't know why everyone has such a problem with V8's in RX-7's. It was innovative idea before the popularity of large turbos and standalone ECU's. Back in the day it was tough for the average Joe to get rotaries to make ALOT of HP.

yeah that was before and this is now (where people know how to utilize the engine and make almost the same amount of power as a v6 and a mild v8) i dont have a problem w/ it. i just dont understand it.

wankel_dreams 08-20-2002 06:13 PM

it sits that low with no engine and transmission?????

Maybe it was taken before he took it out, unless he REALLY chopped those springs. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif

Man, that's because you've found good resources, etc. There are alot of people who buy these things and have no clue, with nobody to help them out. So they try what's familiar. It's the same as me wanting to put a rotary in a piston car. I would like it better because I'm more familiar with it.

DrMaxit 08-20-2002 07:19 PM

Damn that **** looked cool as hell.

JK! damn, i guess he was on the right track, if he just kept with it and got some decent rims and suspension on it. and ******* painted it.

Fastrotaries 08-22-2002 12:13 AM

you can take a man out of the trailer park. But sometimes you can't take the trailer park out of the man. that's just the way it goes.
