So in my pic, the side with the band gets the 12v, what does the other side get? The other bolt has a wire going to it? What is that for?

1Revvin7 04-08-2003 07:44 AM

Guys at the club said ignition switch

banzaitoyota 04-08-2003 10:11 AM

I would have to ring it out to be positive.

relisys190 04-08-2003 10:13 AM

I just looked at my connectors from my main relay box 'diagram above' Man, those are loose as ****...

One was totally Dirty, and the positive lead was loose. i wiggled it a bit and it fell out of it's connector. WTF!

I guess those are important right? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png

Its suppose to be the wire coming from the ignition. Now everything works, but my starter turns on whenever the car recieves power... Is there suppose to be a relay wired in? I have a power wire going the nut, and the wire coming from the ignition going to the clip-prong....

1Revvin7 04-13-2003 08:36 PM

Well you might not have to do, I moved my battery to the back of my car, and weeded out the chassis wiring so I am redoing a lot of from scratch.... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.png

do you have power at the clip, all the time? that little wire is what turns the starter on, it should only have power in start position

Well I finally cleaned up all the loose wires and I did some investigation. After cleaning up all the gas that spray on my car https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif I found out that no wires have pwr @ the start position except the single wire on the ignition, which has power @ access/on/start, some other wires in the loom have power @ on and some @ on & accessory. So is there a relay for the starter?

j9fd3s 04-15-2003 09:56 PM

theres that switch, ah is your wire black with a green tracer?

mike

1Revvin7 04-15-2003 10:31 PM

When shrunk you cannot read the fine print. Anyhow yea mike there is a switch I must be missing.... thxs for all the help!

1Revvin7 04-15-2003 10:53 PM

Well I looked at the real wiring diagram of the ignition switch and it has 5 wires, I just must have thew wrong one...
