Alright, my car has gotten to where it burns oil. I think the oil injectors are leaking, because after it sits for a while, it smokes more when i start it up. Is there any way I can tell? And if it is those, how much approx. would it cost to fix it? I'm trying to sell my car, unfortunately...

You can always use premix but since you're selling your car most people are too lazy so that wouldn't be an option. I've never heard of oil injection leaking. It's not like a fuel injector. There is no real valve at the point of injection. Oil just flows through the lines at a certain speed relative to the throttle. Does your car burn oil only at start up or all the time or under high load?

sounds like oil control rings leaking... I see a rebuild in your future.

bye bye control ring :(

on a side note.. failing oil control rings aren't always that bad.. I believe that I killed many of the insects and small animals around my house before I started prepping to remove the motor again https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR Just leave your car idling for a while and it clears up all those little pests.
