or lack thereof. this engine has 175,000miles on it, notice how little carbon is in it.

how would atf/mmo/water/detergent/anyother household cleaner help this?

Yea well they don't call the atf a trick for nothing. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

That motor saw a lot of high revs in it's 175K miles of use...

..the ATF thing DOES work, but is usually misunderstood..it began with damn jspecs I think, because anytime I've delt w/ jspecs that wont run right from the getgo...the vendor says to use ATF or MMO in the engine because they put a solution in the engines before shipping to prevent rust..but if left to sit too long, the solution can stick the seals..its only a last resort thing anyways..

Somebody correct me if i'm wrong, but I have always been under the impression that as long as the side seals are all in good shape, there shouldn't be any carbon on the sides of the rotor, only on the faces where combustion takes place.

So therefore, this motor had exceptionally good side seals
