so tuesday i went to go and purchase my books for school before i had to go to class. and on the way to get my books my car was acting funny. i was sputtering a bit at low rpms and as usual my cd player didn't want to stay on. i decided to go to the mazda dealer and find prices on some parts. well evidently my car didn't want to. it died on me a couple of times and i had to wait for my friend to come and try to tow me. so i decided to take it to a shop and let them have at it. well, my throtle is out. evidently there's a crack on my intake hose going up to the throtle body. they havn't figure out the electrical. and when the car was sputtering the electrical was going crazy. one minute the car was going 10mph (true) the next minute i was going 50.

so i drove my dads car yesterday and his thermostat housing cracked. i ain't driving another car all week for fear of something breaking on the next car i drive.

the intake hose being cracked is probably true, basically your afm is confusing your motor because of the crack.

as for the electrical, the speedo is controlled by the speedo cable, attached to your trans...i dont think its electrical.

as for your cd player not working, possibly bad grounds. check the 2nd gen faq section of this forum for a good writeup on how to re-do/check the grounds.

i got the car out this morning. cost me $1200 https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif but i needed it to run. unfortunantly it's my only car as on now. the funny thing is the throtle it's self is 1350 from a dealer (or something like that). the guys were pretty cool at the shop and got some parts from a totaled rx7 they had at the shop. i also might get a job there. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png but thanks for the help though man.
