hey guys i need some help with my rx7. I was driving along and it just jerked and died on me . i pulled over and tried to restart it but it would do crank, and there was no spark. I looked at the engine and noticed when i turned the key to start it a wire to to what i think is the started was smoking and i could hear it sizzling ... i dont know what to do i need some ideas thanks

well first off if you have any wire that's smokeing and sizzling, replace it now! that can cause serious problem's, belive me, i nearly toasted my car because i didnt realize that, then i had to have $500 custom wire harness made for it.. go thru and check all of your wireing, there's a topic somewhere on here that has to do with ground issue's and what not, check that out.. then if your gettin no spark, test your coils, wire's, etc.. as for dieing, wouldnt really know what's wrong there, but that wire problem makes me think your shorting out somewhere

Yes definetely, also check your battery cables, make sure they are not corroded or loose.
