I noticed the other day when I checked the oil level that there were bubbles in the oil on the dip stick. The blockoff plate for the MOP leaks. Could that have something to do with it?

Thanks

One more thing that may help. The harder you drive the engine the more bubbles there are. The check engine light came on today, nearly **** a brick but the grounding thing for the OBD I grounded itself by accident so it's all good.

strange, new motor too right? any other leaks?

I don't think there are any other leaks. I'm gonna take care of the MOP thing and then clean out the engine. There was oil all over the place from when the oil cooler hose leaked. Big big mess...

Well mine has that to but I think my are coolant bubbles, hope your's isn't the same problem.

I don't think it is coolant. I was looking at it really close and you can pop them. Water likes to separate from oil but it looks like it's in the emulsified in the oil in this case. Hopefully nothing bad happens from this.

ive seen that when the oil is really old, maybe it is just the leaks?

I changed the oil and it was, to my suprise, pretty dark. It's been like 500 miles and it looked pretty clean on the dipstick. The oil also had a little soapiness look to it. I used this simple green engine parts clean for some of the parts. Maybe there is some residue left over that mixes with the oil to make bubbles. I changed the oil however and it still bubbled. So unless the oil that was left that couldn't drain had an effect I don't know what it is. My check engine light came on I think because of it.

I used Mobil Cleaning Power Oil. Maybe that has something to do with it. It's the cheapest and I don't want to use syth. until i have to change the oil less frequently. Mobil 1 synthetic was like $30 for a six pack!!!! I payed ten dollars for the oil and filter.

Quick question. Would that be bad in terms of cooling the rotors with bubbles in the oil? I imagine it's not good but for just cruising running no boost would it cause any problems?
