Drove 40 miles to get the car, Kid had told me about it over AIM the other night, car is a 1988 vert, 5 speed, like new leather seats, has a good top, and the radio does not work he says, he wants $500 for it, runs and drives with the damage you see posted above.

So I set out this morning to go see this beast, get there and the guy is not at the house but shows up 20 mins later, car has a reman in it, unknown mileage, but the chassis has 202,700 on it.

Not only are the seats in excellent shape, car has a newer borla catback on it, an Alpine CD player in it ( mising faceplate) and the car is in acctually good shape https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

I do not know what to call it, I was not looking to buy this car...

When I told the wife I would be getting into the RX-7's when we moved back to the US, she was ok with that, withone exception, she wanted a vert. So I have been kinda looking, but not really, if the right one showed up for the right price I would pick it up...

Well this kid messaged me, I had no idea who it was. He told me about the car. Knowing I could scam a fiberglass front end out of the wife if I bought this and fixed it using the parts from my TII she would go for it. As long as hers was done first. Well it took me all of about 6 hours to get this one fixed, after I picked it up and drove it home...

TheCamel 05-17-2004 03:36 PM

I just have a few spots to touch up now, waiting on my larges polisher and I will be tackling the rims. We buffed the rear deck and trunklid and now the car is all the same color, looks like somebody had started to do it and gave up, thats why in the pics it looks two different colors

1Revvin7 05-17-2004 03:39 PM

Yeah I want to see it after its buffed and waxed!

treceb 05-17-2004 04:47 PM
