i heat the bolt up (or whats left of it) to red hot then apply some penetrating lube, correct? also, what material is the hub carrier made of?

Sorry. What bolt are we talking about exactly? Front? Hub? The hub is made of aluminum, the spindle is iron. Hub carrier? Whazzat?

hub carrier = rear? that piece is pressed into the bearing....

where the brake caliper attaches to the rear carrier, the hole isnt threaded... just the caliper is... so all i need to do is pound out whats left of the bolt thats stuck in the hole...



but the inside of the hole is full if this white hard powder (corrosion i presume)and thats whats keeping me from pounding the bolt out...

can you move the caliper at all?



if so just heat it up and swing the caliper up and down, spray some pb, swing caliper, torch, swing, pb, swing, torch, swing, pb, etc.



its a very long ordeal, i hate when the slides on some calipers freeze inside the brackets, such a bitch.

yea... right now, the caliper itself is removed from the bracket... and i can move the bracket freely (pivots on that bolt)

so the bracket moves freely?



so that means no using the bracket to move the bolt.



**** it cut the carrier, thing that you marked in green, off and unscrew the bit you cut off from the caliper bracket.



other then that option, youve got a LOT of drilling to do, cause thats the only other idea i have lmao.

maybe i try heating it up some more... the first time i tried, i only held the torch(not a big torch, mapp gas bottle torch) there for maybe 20 seconds... that bolt should just slide out of the carrier... they did on the pass. side...

no no the part of the caliper (i thin what you call the carrier is the caliper bracket)



cut the part off thats part of the car, i think its directly part of the trailing arm...i dont think you need the trailing arm, unless its not a parts car, lol, then you might need it.
