I've never done it myself save for one time on an old studebaker...and probably for obvious reasons there. Try finding the parts for an 64 Commander in something less then a few weeks.



Anyways generally most of the people I've worked with are of the mind that it's a pretty bad idea, simply because you can't be real sure you're getting the parts exactly right and making a mistake with brakes can be a bit costly. . .



So what do ya think?

A brake job is not rocketscience there isn't really much you can do wrong unless you are retarded. It's a pretty straitforward system.

The only problem with the cylinders (if you're talking wheel, not master) is that from condensation they become very pitted and the new rubber cups have a tendency to leak. If they are in decent conditon where a hone will clean them up, it's cheap and simple to do.
