hey my brake is leaking quite a bit of fluid. the guys at the shop looked at it and they said the fitting was tight but thats where the fluid was coming from. is the problem most likely the caliper or the line/fitting?

Which brake? Have you cleaned it and then stepped on the brakes to see where it is coming from? Did the people at the shop have the mind to do that?

if you would have read my post you would have known that it was coming from the fitting. i took it to midas bc it was leaking pretty badly and they said that the fitting and caliper are crossthreaded. he tightened the crap out of it and said that will last til i have to undo it. now i have another prob. i got fluid all over the wheel and now the finish is peeling. can i just have it refinished or should i just get a new wheel??

Wash off the wheel at a pressure washer car wash. As for your fitting. Are we talking where the line comes in or one of the bleeders? Who crossthreaded it? If its a bleeder you can retap and put a bigger bleeder in but if its the line then your kinda screwd.

nope its where the line comes in. he tightened it and got it seated but this will only last until i have to take it off. will it not hurt the stucture of the wheel for it to not have the finish? also, does anyone have a 4 piston caliper that would go on my car and works, its the front right (pass.)

Junkyard is your best bet! New those 4 piston calipers are freaking expensive.
