I don't have a garage so I took my car to my GF's house. Anyway, my question is: 1986 GXL does it have one piston calipers or the 4 piston calipers? Is it the same on front and rear? If any one knows this thanx, if not I can always check it tomorrow. I was just curious and looking for parts online at work now https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

The single piston brakes used the 9.8" rotor and the four piston brakes used the 10.9"...you have the 10.9 so, 4 piston it is...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

2 piston on the front. push them in to install new pads.

on the rear it is a single, but you need to then the piston in with a plier or a special cube thing just for this that attaches to a rachet.

you could buy the $3 attachment for a ratchet from strauss to make that job a breeze.

or take an open end wrnch that fits snugly into the grooves, push it in and hold it, then snap vise grips near the box end side and turn it, which basically makes your own ratchet.

didnt have much trouble with frestyle's rear brakes once i figured out those tricks.
