I used EBC Green Stuff all around on my car. The fronts barely lasted beyond a single lapping day. Great pads for around town or autocross. But they do not last even as long as the box says they do. I went with EBC Red Stuff up front and retained the grippy Green Stuff in the back. This seems to work rather well. The front still will lock up before the rear can even with the less grippy pads up there. The front/rear balance seems to be better this way.

speaking of tires im thinking of some goodyear eagle f1's or perhaps some kumho ecsta mx's. im using the ecsta supras right now and they seem to do fairly well, im a little dissapointed with the treadwear rate on them though. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Kumo are not good tires. I had them on my beretta and after abouth 3 months the tire was loosing its composition. you could see the tread blocks uneven and the tire warped. No it was not over inflated! The tires also wore out quick. but imagine a FWD Turbo 60Degree V6 With a 5 speed Getrag and a 75 shot N2O running down the street on thoes tires. Ddnt reach 4 months. And wet traction is very poor. Now that my beretta is no longer my street racer i have a set of futura tires on it and they have better wet traction GO FIGURE!!!!

I've used the Bonez pads and they are great street/autox pads. You can get them at rx7.com, they stop my heavy vert with authority. As for tires, go for the michelin pilots, or BFG g-force. I've heard lots of good things about the new Michelin Pilot AS

evilT2 07-14-2003 07:42 PM

both the michelin and the bfgs look nice but theyre a little higher than i would like to pay so im kind of leaning toward a set of yokohama avs's. they appear to be fairly respectable without costing a fortune

The Yokohama AVS Intermediates have been discontinued. The ES100's are good tires. Not a real replacement for the AVS, but that's how they're being sold anyway.

I love the Hawk HP+ pads with Motul 600. The car stops on a dime every time.

Jerk, how is the feel different for you vs synthetic? just curious..

it's likely that the major cause of your fade is the brake fluid so be sure to flush that out and fill it with something that has a high boiling point then see how it goes.

I use Super Blue. Haven't boiled it yet!

I'm using motul 600 also, for the past 6 months and its still clear, and i cant boil it. (stupid slow vert) https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif
