some rx-7 shop told me that it isn't a good idea to put certain aftermarket rims on my car because the stock rims are designed to cool the brakes.... I was just curious what truth is behind this and if they are designed to cool the brakes how significant are they?

a place called alamo rotary..... it's owned and ran by a guy by the name of tito, he's a real ******* that doesn't know ****... he said that my misfire problem was my injectors, when it was (I'm assumming) the MAS... after installing the haltech the car ran fine, and I have the same injectors in there.... but he pleaded up and down that it was the injectors and wanted something like $850 for the job.... he also turbo charged a 3 rotor and spent about a year building it and the thing is a huge piece of ****... ran a high 15...

How many people on this forum are in san antonio or surrounding cities(houston, dallas, austin, corpus)????

Certain types of rims may hamper cooling, but the chance of that happening with most aftermarket wheels is slim.

I was just trying to make sure that you weren't using low impedance injectors because 88's are supposed to use high impedance injectors.
