Ok, so heres the deal.

The other day i hoped into the car and went to pull out of the driveway. I hit the brake pedal and it went right to the floor. But i was able to stop.

I checked the fluid, it was full and clear.

I assumed there was air in the lines from the previous owner not bleeding the system right.

So last night i went and bleed the system. Did it twice. But when i went to bleed the ABS pump there was almost no fluid that came out. But it seemed like alot of air was in there.

To me this made no sense because all the fluid has to go through the ABS unit so if there is no air in the brake lines how can there be air in the ABS unit??

After i bleed the ABS unit the pedal returned to the ground. So i went around the car and re-bleed the lines and the pedal felt great.

Drove the car around last night trying out the brakes and they were great.

The this morning i hoped into the car and it felt softer than it did last night :(

Any advice?

Im told that the master cylinder was replaced before i bought the car.

There are two ned front calipers, new pads on the front. The rear needs new pads and the rotors are all in great shape well within spec.

The ABS unit appeared to be leaking a bit of fluid but im nto sure if its infact brake fluid as i have a bad oil leak. But ya.

Any ideas to help me out here.

I ordered the Mazdatrix ABS Deletion Kit, so i may do that and see if it helps. Im thinking mabe the ABS unit is sucking in air somehow.

You got it - the ABS pump is toast.

You will want to unplug the control box also.

It's next to the ECU in the passenger footwell.
