Well I bought a BOV to replace the by pass valve in the car now, only problem is how in the hell do I swap them out. I looked at the hoses and setup of the hoses on the original by pass valve and I'm lost on how this will fit. A couple people from the rx7club popped this thing in within a few minutes and it fit perfect. The only problem is I can't figure out what hose goes where, and what hoses have to be plugged. Someone told me I have to plug the turbo intact duct even though I don't know where it is.

If I'm correct this is how my current by pass valve looks like

I'm lost on where all the hoses go if I'm trying to put in this type of BOV

I have a corkscrew to plug the hole for now until I get to the autoparts store, but I was wondering if someone can tell me where to put what hose. All I know is the small hose should go ontop of the bov, but after that I'm lost. HELP!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif

Its sorta of hard to see from this picture, but all you do is weld the bov flange onto the existing aluminum intercooler pipe above the turbo. Then you cap the stock bov hose that goes back to the turbo inlet duct. And then hookup the small nipple to a vacuum source that also see positive pressure.

Doesnt your AFM bug out not having that air return back into the system?

To tell you the truth, I don't know. I just bought this t2 with all these mods done already. I have heard it just makes you run a tad richer when the bov opens. Maybe a little flamage inbetween shifts? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

I know its kinda https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683621.gif but my DSM did not like open BOV. I think it actually feeds air to the engine on idle "bypassing" the turbo.

Dunno, maybe it applies to the FC, maybe not.

youll run richer a bit, but it shouldnt adversely effect anything.

my car smoothly idles at 750rpm with everything imaginable removed AND a modded and ported TB and a vented BOV as well.

The stock pipe above the turbo is plastic, you'll probably have to get an aluminum pipe and get it welded.

The type of BOV you are trying to install is meant for custom installation. That is an open atmosphere BOV. You will have to take the hose coming from the intake and hook it up to the bottom of that bov and clamp it, and block off the hole in the turbo inlet duck or you'll have a vacuum leak. That's where the old bov went and recirculated the air as you see in the pictures above.
