Car has 160k on the clock, runs like a champ, all of the drivetrain is good, just a little rough, for $250 I am not complaining.

Are you gonna sell parts off of it or be a greedy boy and use them yourself https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
Let me know cause I hate my power windows right now. I want your door panels and the window cranks and the windows https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png I ahvebeen meaning to ask you... DO you have your skyline in DE? |
No I sold the Skyline, and I will be parting the car out, stay tuned, I have to pick it up next week

let me bring up a point here, so is it better to part that car
out and have one less FC on the road, or is it better to do a V8 swap to it? |
I may part it out to a shell and dump a V8 in it, not sure, 350 w/ powerglide https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png its all up in the air right now, I have an 86 base now that I will be selling the motor and trans, and this one o will be selling the motor and trans, so anything is possible
|
yah its a little rough but for 250 its not bad.
rob: better to have 1 more fc even if its a v8.... |

I concur 100%
one day a rotory may live under the hood once again, but once a FC is parted and scrapped, its gone forever |
well, obviously is one is wrecked and beyond reasonable repair it
will be parted, but that car camel bought looks fairly decent. |
I look at it more this way, I rescued this car from a field, it was going to end up a rusted pile of scrap sooner or later. if I can part this out and keep fellow FC owners in decent parts for a good price, there is no foul. As most of us know there are not too many FC's in the junkyards anymore, and finding used parts is getting harder and harder each day. The motor was worth the purchase price in my eyes, and it may find its way into someone elses ride who does not have the funds for a rebuild. So even though it is one less FC on the road, it may save the lives of many more FC's, think of it as an organ donor https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png

It has some rough spots, the funding to put it back in shape to make it roadworth outweighs the value of the car if I were to sell it.
|
it would make a fine car, it looks all there and rust free.
|
I want the shell. No sunroof!!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

Well I still have to go pick it up, I did not have a trailer to bring it back when I went to look at it, its up in NJ. once I get it back here I will clean it all out and see where I stand. I might just get her ready to sell

It's an abomination... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/violin.gif I believe in the organ donor theory expressed by Teh Camel. Good parts cars are hard to come by. |
well, if it goes bad, you will always have the shift leveler for a dildo, then you can chrome plate it and give it to your s.o. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif
