If you have pics of the borla exhaust on a FC or out of the box, please post them.

If you have the pipe dimension please to that also.

I'm trying to decide on an exhaust and I have never seen the borla on an FC.

Thanks

Carlos

Haha. I know this isn't what you're after, but since I'm the first to reply, I'll contribute. This is an XR-1 muffler in some 3" pipe an exhaust shop bent up for me. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

after you buy two nice borla mufflers and have a shop bend some pipe and hang them for you your going to have a decent bill already. i'd say around 250 depending on the muffler

for almost a hundred bucks more you can get a 100% stainless MANDREL bent from the nopistons store, just have the shop hang it and weld the pieces together.

Great looking, I'm sure it's great sounding, easy, and great value. I've messed around with custom setups and the setup like the store is the way to go. Did I mention it was stainless and mandrel bent? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

a pic someone sent me

cps87rx7se 03-19-2004 10:13 PM

I have the catback setup, and I love it. You do have to clamp one piece on, and that is a part after the Y-Pipe(about 6 in after the split). But I had it welded, no big deal. I will try and get some pics tp put up.

hows it sound?

cps87rx7se 03-20-2004 07:33 AM

Compared to my stock setup before, ****** awesome. It has a low, deep tone to it, and when you whined her out, it sounds even better.

How loud is it compared to stock? Will it get the attention of a cop??

I'm tring to debate this exhaust or a RB cat back to get to replace my N1 Duals.

Rob x-7 03-20-2004 03:08 PM

I heard one with a replacement converter and the borla

cat back system, it sounded nice and mellow, wont get the

attention of the cops and you wont get confused for a ricey

kid with a fart can either.

cps87rx7se 03-20-2004 10:31 PM

Well, I am running stock everything up to the system(stock header, and cats). But the first two cats are gutted. I am about to put my new RB header on, and put a test pipe in replacement for the main cat. As long as you dont stomp on it when you are near a cop, you wont have a problem. Ill try and get those pics for you.

cps87rx7se 03-21-2004 11:32 AM

Here is the link to my page with pics of my exhaust.

http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/348931/2

mazdadrifter 03-21-2004 11:58 AM

does it get "blatty" at all?? or just mellow but loud?

cps87rx7se 03-21-2004 12:08 PM

Yea, its mellow at idel and normal around town driving. But when you are on the highway @ 3000 to 4000 rpm, it is a little lound in the car, but sounds really good outside of the car, it does NOT have that annoying Honda Civic fart can sound to it, but an exhaust note that other people know that it is a good setup. I will try to get a sound clip, but I cant promise anything.

BigTurbo74 03-21-2004 01:15 PM

yeah i plan on borla as well, although on their site info on sizing and weight is scarce. this is what sold me,

That is exactly what it sounds like on my 7. I love that deep rumble!

bart3lz 03-22-2004 01:51 PM

i dont know ....whenever i hear borla i think of domestics.i.e. v8 trucks, mustangs, and comaros. a little too domestic for me. im thinkin of getting an rs-r exhaust from import fan

SPD Racing FC 03-22-2004 03:23 PM

anyone running a header with this exhaust (borla cat back) i am just getting to many looks for the police with my N1 set up

cps87rx7se 03-22-2004 04:25 PM

Shortly I will be putting my car back on the road, and I got a header over the winter and will be putting it on with in the next few weeks hopefully. Also I am strsight piping it too, so it will be load and I will tell you if I get any looks.

they make exausts for every car in the world, a rotary is a tough

engine to make sound nice, who wants thier whole car rattling, waking

up the neighboorhood and having cops hassle you?
