Hello everybody, I just joined this site today and I'm looking for a little help. I have a 1988 TII and I want to increase my power with an exhaust and by cranking up the boost on the stock snail. The car has a K+N Intake and I have removed the main Catalytic Converter. It runs and pulls awesome but now I'm ready for more. When I purcahsed the car the guy included a 3" racing beat downpipe he was going to put on I also just purchased an ApexN1 knockoff turbo muffler and I am going to have the local muffler shop custom make me a 3" midpipe since I have opted to go single exhaust. I have also installed a manual boost controller via home depot=) and it only increases or decreases boost in 4 lb. increments. It works as i experienced the lovely 8.5 lb. boost induced rear rotor fuel cut first hand and is now still installed but bypassed. I have a couple people telling me all I need is FCD and not to run past 10 psi and run a little lean while others are telling me that I need maybe a SAFC and/or upgraded fuel (pressure, injectors, pump any of the like)and that I might experience wastegate problems and mild to moderate to high boost spiking. I have heard that the stock wastegate can handle a lot of boost though like 17 pounds or something and I do not plan on running more than ten pounds of boost on the stock turbo or fuel. I have been having real trouble finding a straight answer. So if you've got the same set-up or have in the past let me know. Sorry such a long post but I don't want to give not enough info and recieve wtong or not enough info as well. Thanks Rotary Brethren! -GoFCGo
