I have a 88 vert that I am reincarnating with a JDM 91 turbo motor. It starts, but hesitates in low RPM range, runs really rich and eats plugs. Although my motor is s5, it is controlled by an Rtek 1.7 which uses a S4 wiring harness etc. I am having difficulty with adjusting the idle speed because it is on the TB and throws out my TPS when I adjust it. And to top it off my ecu says the boost sensor is shot, but I have tried 3 different boost sensors and I am starting to doubt the ECU or the wiring how would I check this? Anyone have any ideas?

idle speed is on the bac valve. its not adjsuted by adjusting the throttle stop like you're doing, that actually could be your whole hesitation problem right there.
you check the wiring between the boost sensor and the ecu with a test light or voltmeter |
My BAC has no way to adjust it, I think JDM motors didnt have it on the BAC.

Have you check your timing is good, not too retarded?

I checked my leading coil and it was dead. replaced it with a new coil and it now blows the ECU fuse (30 amp)???

found a short and now the coils are working. Timing is on the mark.
ECU still thinks the boost sensor is shot. |
