I'm thinkin' that I have a boost leak, and I'm thinkin' I have an idea where it is. '87 T2, streetport, running 10psi on the stock turbo and i/c. I just got the car up and running well on Sunday and it was boosting pretty well and running great, but now the boost seems really laggy. I don't reach 10psi in 3rd gear untill about 5krpms. I've noticed that the rubber elbow at the back of the i/c that runs to the tb inlet likes to blow off of the i/c a little bit. It sounds like its pulling in a tiny bit of vacuum at idle, but under positive pressure, I'm sure it could be leaking enough to cause my laggy boosting. Has anyone come up with a quick and easy fix for this? I'm gonna try to flip the elbow around and see if that helps at all, if not I might replace it. What do you think?

Thanks.

clamp it down harder?

It's clamped down as tight as I can get it without breaking the clamp. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

The stock hose & clamp should hold ~30 PSI.

If it's leaking at 10 or under vac, there is something else nearby leaking.

Maybe a hidden split in the hose?
