I have an s4 turbo and I hooked up a boost gauge at it reads about 10 - 15 vaccum and im wondering if this is wrong or maybe I hooked it up wrong but I mean the boost level seems right at about 6psi...

is this a normal reading or a bad reading? also what would the problem be.

thanks

idle for me is at 1,000RPM and im at about 16 vacum but at like 1,500rpm its at like 20vac.. then while im driving and my foot is off the gas pedal im at like 25vac. or so.

it depends on port size and compression also if you have a vac leak

well stock port and I dont know the compression so I would like to know what everyone elses is reading...

SO is a reading of 10, and then 15 with no throttle applied and just coasting bad?

Would this be due to low compression?

If it was a vac leak would it still display boost correctly?

thanks in advance

a vac leak turns into a boost leak as soon as the turbo starts making boost, so no.

thanks lee

so then probly not a vac leak.

Should i be leaning towards a low compression rating?
