Never heard of a problem with the adjusting screws for the Greddys. I never had a roblem with it untill I started boosting a liitle more than it suggets.

The RFL I think is okay. Its about the same size as the type-s. It is at least better than the SSQV

SSQV is "ok" for lower boost levels IMO. We've got quite a few guys running them..we're actually putting one on a miata project going at 14psi, so we'll see. I haven't heard of anybody(besides those of you here) who have busted one...but I just looking at them and it just feels cheap.

The RFL is a great unit for the price. Many of these running around on our cars...if adjusted and maintained properly..they take 15psi w/ no problems..and has a good sound. I'm not a fan of the adjustment discs, but other than that..it's good.

GReddy BOVs are nice units, well put together..haven't played with the new type-rs unit...but the type-r and type-s both held there own until put past the recommended limits...

I'm using a turbonetics godzilla unit... we'll see how well it holds up after i get a couple thousand miles on it,lol..but it does have a great quality build and seems to be a good unit..i've heard mixed reviews on turbonetics parts (IE: delta gate...POS IMO)

I used a Bosch 32mm unit on my protege when I turboed that ...ran 6psi most of the time, sounded great..and only caused compressor surge at around 9-10psi..it's good for $75,lol. Oh, the "anodized" version that I had ended up getting corroded and I wasn't able to adjust the bolt to tighten/loosen the spring...but again..it was only $75.

Hope that helps a lil...

As far as why yours may sound different, other than it isn't a loud unit...you just want to make sure it's installed correctly. Make sure the vac source is good and is hooked up properly..if you vented it back into the intake...it's going to very quiet...

Did I miss the memo?

I will have to admit I have not played with a Type S in my hands to know the how large the flange outlet is but I played with a XS RFL about 6 months ago when a friend brought one and it had a outlet flange the size of a quarter.

I dont know what kinda RFL you looked at, but mine is a little smaller than the size of a half dollar.
