Hey todayi was driving in heavy traffic dipping between traffic doing at some points 110mph in my automatic FC. The question is that the steering feels to nice and soft at hight speeds. I would like to know if there is anyting you can do to make the steering a bit more responsive at high speeds so u dont feel like ure loosing control. I gotten my car over 125mph (138mph but everyone says autos cant do that) and it was on an empty 4 lane highway but the car was gliding or felt gliding and im holding the steering wheel straight. We have a lot of potholes and unexpected bumps and i dont want to loose control over some lil thing cuase my steerign sucks.



What other upgrades besides the obvious shocks/springs, sway bars etc



Also not on any accord with what i said above ut why do GXL have a heavy as hood and the Base models have light hoods, shouldnt it be the other way around? Whats the purpose of even having the heavier hood why not have em all aluminum?

get better tires and a good alignment

It's not as much steering as it is handling in general. Remember these cars are getting old and some (if not most) of the suspension is getting worn out.



A good set of non-adjustable shocks will do wonders to your cars handling. Since your peobably not track racing or autocrossing an Automatic GXL I would just get a good set of shocks nothing high performance anything will be better than the worn out shocks on there now.



Look for a set of used springs. Lots of people get a set of springs like Racing Beats or Eibach only to upgrade to a set of coil overs. Keep your eyes peeled in the parts for sale section and snag up a set of springs for cheap.



Also look into a Racing Beat front sway bar. Dont waste your money on a rear one you will not need it for street use. That front sway bar will halp to stablize the car.



Of course a good set of tires and a alignment will help a lot too. Like FCmaniac said.

thanks, i was looking into the tires because my tires are really shittty, not only becuase i roll over my dogs **** when ever i pull out mah drive way but....there like cheapo tires. And my FC isnt going to be Auto anymore, im getting my tranny put on in the next week or two, with a racing Beat SS clutch, i already ordered my Pilot Bearing/seal, and Throw out bearing. I was thinking about getting the KYB agx cause some regular shocks run like $80 for me and there autozone shocks the KYB AGX are like $110 for each or $445 all the way around lol..and i will defintely get the RB front sway bar/links

New tie rod ends and ball joints will help also.

I'll have Eibach pro kit springs for sale in a few weeks if you're interested.. installing the ERS on GC coilovers. I'll probably ask $130 for the pro kit springs.



One thing I noticed by having the RB front sway bar and GXL rear bar is the car feels overall more stable but my turn in is a little slow and it pushes too much. I will try the RB rear to fix this. For you, the RB front is a good idea with stock rear.

Downforce will add to the effect. Hard to do on our cars in the front without going to a new bumper, but possible.
