I am looking for a rear muffler for my project vehicle and was thinking about using a supertrapp
http://www.racesearch.com/ART/EC/108...GEN4432017.jpg Anyone used these on a Rotary? I'm a bit worried as to how long it will last. I need a rear muffler and I think this would work. I have very little overhang on my Suzuki therefore a conventional muffler will not fit at the rear section. I have a presilencer and 1 Walker Turbo (Recommended by Pineapple Racing) on 2-1/2" heavy gauge tube. I need something to quiet things done a bit (I want to drive it on the street also) :tounge: |
Well if you've ever heard a rotary dirtbike...thats what it'll sound like, lol. Those mufflers are kinda loud from what I've seen...this kid in my town has one on his CRX and it sound good, but I don't think its really what you'd want if you want quiet.

Supertrapps have a buzzy sound to them...but I have never heard one on a rotary.

I've got a '87 Turbo II in a '78 kelmark(kit car). The exhaust is 3" with a Racing Beat premuffler(from the setup for the turboII) and the muffler is the Supertrapp 3" in, 4"out. It sounds really great! Sounds kind of like the old '60s racing Healeys.(very deep tone.) I like the idea of being able to take the end off with 5 screws when I want more noise.
I've only had my car on the street a couple of times so I don't know how it will last, but the inside is replacable and the price is right. Dave wdwflash@aol.com |
