so apparently i blew my bac, the third junkyard one actually. i'd like to know where i could buy parts like these ASIDE from a junkyard. a good one has a resistance reading of 10.7 to 12.3..mine reads 13.3. yeah..so my car won't idle. AGAIN.

=[

J9FD3S can get them new for you

You can unplug it and set the idle with the screw on the the tb. Low idle when cold.

yea if you keep having trouble with them just bypass/block it off. doesnt effect the idle all that much, the most youll notice it is when you put on a/c your idle will fall like 200rpms.

EBAY?

NAFC 09-25-2006 02:34 PM

hahaha **** yeah i tried ebay but i dont wanna press my luck with used parts anymore =[

unplugging it isn't too good either since it is part of what keeps my car idling. it being blown (as it is) pretty much simulates what it'd be like unplugged. i have no a/c, yanked that out, so my rpm's are hovering around 600 before it warms up. then it dies out. thats blown along with the other sensor behind it, so it's crucial that i get at least one of them up and working for at least a halfass idle lol.

sounds to me like you simply need to do a full idle adjustment.

if the BAC is the crutch to your regular idle then your idle is problematic...its only used for when a load is applied to the motor so the idle speed doesnt change...other then that its not really an idle control dealy.

i had another incident where my bac wouldn't even let my engine rev passed 1500 rpm. after unplugging it, it revved but it idled like crap. bear in mind that the sensor, i think its called the AWS, is also blown. plus i can't really adjust my idle if my car doesn't even stay on, u kno?
