i've found that if i start the car in gear it doesn't do that surging. i'm not really sure why though.

maybe its the warm-up rev thing. AWS?

AWS revs to 3k on startup then thermowax usualy holds 2k until is slowly drops as car warms up.

Blocking off the bac will make your idle even harder to set.



I have run with out all the toys for about half a year (thermo, aws, acv,bac,tb mod and whatever else)



Try to fix it with what you have there are lots of variables.



If you do go with out idle components there are only a few things to set



TPS

Idle a/f (resistor)

butterflies

Resting of the ecu

and no air leaks



with the idle compenent there are only a few more



BAC

thermo



so i would reccommend keeping it especially with a e-fan, ac, or pwr steering.
