So, i start the car, its running, cleaning out all the **** in the exhaust, making the neighbors run for the gas masks...and its happily idling at 1200rpm, sounds like a harley...and i lean out my door look under my car, and find all my coolant, so i get out open my radiator cap, bone dry, open the one on the water pump neck, dry...hmm....Shut off the car, white smoke starts comming from ontop of the engine, the nozzle where the TB used to get coolant from, my Bolt isnt in the hole anymore, and the coolant ontop of my engine got burned, and i have about 6 gallons under my car...not good, i tried some gasket maker, some JB weld too, i think im going to need to get it welded off.... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif

are you puttnig a bolt into a hose to block it off?

if so put a worm-screw type of hose clamp around the hose with the bolt in it and tighten it heavily, i doubt it'll be able to spit out that bolt. if ur trying to block off a metal nipple type thing, i saw these things for the bottom of metal chair legs that were flexible and seemed to be a good idea to use to block off the larger nipples/connections when used with a hose clamp.

kevni.

I did something similar, with a large vacuum cap.

BigTurbo74 12-03-2003 04:36 PM

so why don't you just let it flow to the waterpump housing?

tancred 12-03-2003 07:51 PM
