I've been in a pic posting mood today, lol...see the "General Discussion" forum and you'll see what I mean.

I got my Boost and air/fuel guages today and put them in my guauge pod that I've had for about a year now!!! That 20PSI mark will be laughing at me until I can build my motor up to handle that!

UniqueTII 02-19-2002 09:19 PM

I feel the same way...my boost gauge goes up to 25 psi.

Where did you get the gauge pod I have been looking for one that will go onto the drivers side window sill/frame but have not had any luck.

http://www.summitracing.com sells them. Check out Autometer's web page for the part numbers.

I see them listed for 86-89 7's. What about the 90 and 91. Does anyone make them?? Are they different?? :notify:

I have an Autometer Tacho for my RX3, The bloody thing only works when it feels like it. It was sent back to Autometer and they said nothing was wrong with it after an auto electrition couldn't get it it to work. I have checked the earth wire and all the other wires and its all hooked up okay but still no good, any ideas?

89-91 would be different for coupes because of the automatic seatbelts, but I think that people have used the 86-88 pod on them.

90N/A Rex 02-20-2002 12:27 AM

I hate automatic seatbelts. Especially since mine just broke. I would like to get the a pillar gauge pod but don't know if anyone makes one that goes right in without modifications.

The 3rd gen pod might fit.

Mine pisses me off too. When the shift light comes on, the damn needle jumps all around. This is the 2nd unit - sent the first back to Jeg's. I have good grounds and power source, and it still gets wacky!

Spinz_Tech 02-20-2002 05:24 PM

RX-Midget

My Tacho sounds similar to yours.

When the lights are on the needle flickers all over the place. That includes indicators when the lights are not on. I have checked the earth and the wires to the coils and accesories light and it looks fine. I know there is nothing wrong with the tacho, There must be something wwrong with the wiring in my car.

I think there is a leaking earth or something, the battery is consistently going flat.

LOL....90NArex sounds like me...college student w/ expensive hobby, even similiar car. You know you can have the seatbelt issue fixed for free at a Mazda dealer.. Safety recall..

yeah I know...but I am not too keen on leaving my car at any Mazda dealership around here. The two that are around here have assholes working there. I will get it back with the seatbelts fixed and need a tranny...
