i sure do have time slips and they suck for 2 reasons....

i have no traction at all wheel hop all through 1st and 2nd, 60' was 2.6 ish, i need to do the 5 bolt conversion, and it was like 100degrees, heat soak sucks and my mile anhour is more then you could touch.

thanks a lot, i guess as far as bone stock verts go its pretty sweet. i still love it

To get serious power from an NA, you have to build for high revs.

The automatic's torque converter can't handle high revs.

[quote name='Shane.Trammell' date='Jul 20 2005, 11:43 AM']thanks for the sympathy, i think its the third slowest 7

1st, auto 12a

2nd, auto s4 vert

3rd, auto s5 vert.

Just to set the record straight North American S4 'verts only had 5 speeds. No automatics.

my auto FC was quick man i dunno what these guys are talking about. took her up to 138mph and she went up to 125mph with no hesitation . Form 125 to 138 it was rather slow.

My car is stick now and i notice a slight difference in acceleration. Not drastic

FCs are great man. Save a rotary. Auto or Stick

you need to drive or ride in a TII or FD to realise how slow a n/a is.

well thats besides the point im comparing a auto to stick for a FC Na ,not a N/a to T2 or

an FC to FD, thats makes no sense for a comparison. Obvisouly a turbo FC is faster than an Na and a FD is faster than a FC (all cars are referenced to be in stock form)

i've driven cars that make FD's feel slow as ****. Its all relative.

BUT. Auto Fc's are slow relative to pretty much anything. They suck. I had an auto 91 vert. It drove me nuts. I loved getting over to the 5 speed when i got my hands on one.

hey now, let's not make this into a "turbo kicks NAs ass" type of thread.

there are quite a few modified NAs that will walk all over a stock TII, so yeah, it is all relative https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

it's all about what you like also. not much beats a turbo for power on a rotary, but the non-turbo has its advantages.

i tend to respect a fast NA more than a fast TII. it's a lot harder and you really need to pay attention to the details...
