i might be buying one for my 88 T2, does anyone have one and if so, how do you like it?
|
My mechanic has one, but not me. I was planning on getting one for mine too. He says its soo fun...hahha. I don't know much about it, but he says that I should definately get it because you can do so much. I kinda want to save up still and wait to get a stand-alone though. The TEC3 sounds nice https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

I feel his pain. I live in the city that it rains 300 days of the year. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif It is a pain in the ass getting dripped on all the time. Luckily, it leaks the worst on the passenger side. I guess that is why my girlfriend likes the AE better. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif |

I usually use some weatherstripping to prevent leaks, but eventually it falls off. I've been too lazy to go buy more. |

So there is no way you can permanantly fix the leaks on verts?

Yes, but you have the Targa right? I think the targa tops are a great idea. When its nice you can pop it out and put it back in without too much stress. If I had a vert I would probably never put the top down either, just remove the targa. The top on my Jeep has never leaked for the 5 years that I have owned it. I had an 84 Mustang with T-tops in high school, and that ******* thing leaked like a siv. I don't know if I would ever get a car with T-tops again.

Funny, mine doesnt leak on the passenger side anymore. I got to get my windshield leak fixed though, now all I get is a small puddle behind the drivers seat, then again I havent driven the car in the puring rain in a looooooong time. Maybe you dont need a coupe, just something else to drive and only drive the convertible when its nice out. And that Targa is more work to take off on its own!
