Does anyone know how to make a cheap boost controller for 87 t2?
Me and kraig made some boost controller for about 4 bucks from home depot. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png Not hard at all. Look on the internet for 'how to build a manual boost controller'.
they also sell on ebay for < $30
Thanx, i just have one more question. How much can i raise my boost with an fcd and the stock setup without blowin anythin up?
don't go past 10 psi.
OK COOL THANX A LOT 1REVVIN7
I don't know for sure its 10psi, but i wouldn't go past 12psi on the stock IC, and no where past 15psi on the stock turbo. But I don't really know whats the fuel limit on a stock TurboII, 10psi should be in a safe margin though.
Yeah, i can run 10, but i will probably run 11 as soon as i get my exhaust welded all back together.

If you build one, try and make it so it locks in place when you set it and be careful when you first install it... test it in small increments. I adjusted mine at the track in the staging lanes to 22psi by accident and luckily the car hit fuel cut immediately and saved my ass (wasn't an RX7 thank god)

I'm not sure about the ebay one but mine you pulled up on the knob to turn it clockwise for more boost, then pushed down to lock it in. All the way counter-clockwise was basically 1-2 psi I guess. Either way, it would not move from say 15 pounds on the street on the VDO guage. When the boost did drop, it was from the IC being heatsoaked and/or the stock turbo couldn't hold that pressure for too long.
