Alright, yes I have yet another question concerning wires and the like. I found today my NA drivers side wire harness does not work. Big surprise eh? But my question is this: Will a Turbo II harness from an S4 (88) work on an S5 engine? Will everything like all the junk on the tranny and all the sensors and things plug up? I NEED this answered sometime soon so I can go get this other parts car. Please guys, I know someone on here can answer me, thanks

alot of the s4 to s5 harnesses do not work. the plugs on many things are shaped differnt

yea s4 and s5 have a lot of differences.

see, save yourself the hassle and go standalone with a nice new harness to wire https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif

i dont think the driverside harness will be eliminated by the standalone if you are tlking about the one the runs to the alternator and trans your best bet is to buy a new one (which is probly very pricy) or find a used one in good condition of the same series i believe those to be your only options unless some one know something i dont . also what makes you think its not 'working' are some of the conecctions bad if thats the case simply pull it out make new connections, rewrap it, and clean the grounds i had to do it with my engine harness i was a pain in the ass but will save you alot of money

well the thing about it is that the current harness in the car is for an NA and not the turbo engine. there is a lot of things that flat out dont connect, my alternator being on of them. most of the transmission doesnt plug up being only the starter (if you want to include that in the tranny) the oil level sensor, the water temp sensor, the majority of the turbo components just dont plug up on that side of the engine. I am trying to find the correct harness so I can finish this thing off and get her on the road and out of the shop.

well it looks like i may have found what i am looking for but I am not sure...They say it is for an 88-89 it turbo engine. Front Harness? it also gives a serial number for the car it fits. 619238 through 632415 is what the auction says. It looks to be the right one, can someone please help varify this? much thanks in advance,
